Beauty for Haiti…

I will be offering Beauty makeover sessions for $20 on February 6th 2010. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Non-profit organization of your choice to help the people affected by the earthquake. The makeover sessions will take place in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Please join me as we try to make a small difference. Haiti, has a long road to recovery. The future is uncertain and the people of Haiti need our help. Lets do what little we can to empower the people and help on the journey to rebuilding the country.

Random Question…

Hey guys…I am so bored today.  Which generally pushes me over edge and next thing I know I am in a silly mood, lol.

So, on that note…I thought why not ask a question that just popped into my mind.

What do you think of matching one’s makeup exactly to one’s outfit?

My personal opinion is to “DO YOU” !!! If someone wants to wear a bright yellow sundress and bright yellow eye shadow, why not? 😀

Any thoughts?

Another Makeover story…

Elle is a model I worked with at a photoshoot recently. Time flew by working with the whole team at the shoot…fab photographer, fab wardrobe stylist, and fab hair stylist…what more can one ask for. More about the shoot later.

To continue my story, Elle was a delight to work with and it didn’t hurt that I fell in love with her eyes. YESSS….I didddd! The shape of her eyes are a dream to work with.  So, when she contacted me to do the makeup for her and her girls…I was game. My makeup artist friend, Nnebuchi, came along to help beat some faces . We met up with them before they headed out to celebrate on New Years Eve. We had a blast!

I usually won’t say this out loud, but here goes: I really think more women should have their makeup done professionally, JUST BECAUSE! I am not saying this because I am a Makeup Artist…I promise. I just think having your makeup done professional from time to time (especially on special occasions) is a good investment. Just like manicures and pedicures, you can do it yourself, but it’s always nice to get it done professionally. One, it’s done a millions times better, plus it’s a nice way to relax and get pampered before a night out.

Below are some pictures of the looks I did on New Year Eve.
